It’s pub day! I’m so honored to have been able It’s pub day! I’m so honored to have been able to write this book with @downnorth_pizza and @coolhandmiz, tell their stories and share their recipes. We The Pizza is much more than a cookbook. It’s an impassioned plea for prison reform, a mission to better educate kids, and a love letter to Philadelphia. All the pizzas are named after songs by Philly musical artists! (Yes, there is a spotify playlist.) There’s even a pizza dedicated to the @philadelphiaeagles. If you haven’t had a @downnorth_pizza square pie yet, get some! So good. Plus all the pizzas, wings, fries and drinks can be made in a regular home oven. Grab a copy of this book. You won’t be disappointed. So many shoutouts... the photos by @artmurri pull you in immediately. The history lesson by @ajimaolaghere is inescapable. And the stories from Muhammad, Mike, Mar, Derrick, Myles, Perm and Miss Tremelle are pure soul - thank you for entrusting me with the sensitive moments of your lives. @raquelpelzel and @sallyekus had the vision, and so many others supported it, from @trejostacos to @marcvetri and @marcuscooks to @tonitiptonmartin. IG won’t even let me tag everyone i need to! Doing something important takes a lot of people. My heart is with you all. 🙏❤️💪🍕
